Claythin
It is a deflocculant for use with different raw materials and different bodies and glazes. It is applicable to bodies for sanitaryware, stoneware, earthenware, porcelain, electroporcelain and similar, as well as wall and floor tiles obtained by spray drying.
A distinctive feature is its wide deflocculation range, which compensates for variations in raw materials and mixing water.
Benefits and applications
- It increases the modulus of rupture in most cases.
- It eliminates thixotropic effects.
- It increases the solids concentration in suspensions for spray drying.
- The optimum addition range varies from 0.1 to 0.5% on a dry basis.
- For glazes, it is used between 0.1 and 0.25 kg per ton of liquid.
Unithin
It is a deflocculant based on quebracho tannins that controls the rheology of water-based drilling fluids and is very effective at low concentrations.
The muds in which it can be applied include: low solids, semi-dispersed, inhibited with potassium chloride, lime, gypsum, or to supplement lignosulfonate, lignite, or in deep high-temperature wells, or as cement wash pills.

- Soluble in high salinity, hardness, and any pH systems.
- Maximum deflocculation at low concentrations.
- Environmentally compatible.
- Several times more effective than chrome-free lignosulfonates.
- Tolerates temperatures above 150 °C.
- Alkaline product, does not need caustic soda to activate.
