UNITÁN / CROWN - ATO
Spray-Dried Soluble Extract
UNITÁN CROWN ATO quebracho extract has been chemically treated in order to transform the insolubles present in natural quebracho extract, with the additional advantage of being atomized and offering the highest tannic content of all vegetable extracts.

UNITÁN / CROWN - ATG
Spray-Dried Soluble Extract
UNITÁN CROWN ATG quebracho extract is a non-dusty atomized powder extract specially treated for leather production with a bright yellowish color.

Uses
UNITÁN CROWN ATG can be used in all tanning processes where a yellowish color is required. Leathers treated with this product show a golden-yellow color with full and soft hides, firm grain, suitable for embossing and/or buffing.

UNITÁN / CROWN - ATS
Semi-Soluble Spray-Dried Extract
UNITÁN CROWN ATS quebracho extract is a non-dusty atomized product produced by modification (not elimination) of the insolubles present in natural quebracho extract.

Uses
Leathers treated with UNITÁN CROWN ATS extract show a brownish-pink color, excellent filling and yield, firm grain, suitable for embossing or buffing. This is the result of the partially modified organic insolubles of UNITÁN CROWN ATS, which makes this extract especially recommended for retanning vegetable- or chrome-tanned leather.
For pure or mixed vegetable tanning, the use of UNITÁN CROWN ATS is recommended at the end of the process in quantities of 20 to 40% of the total vegetable extracts used.
For retanning processes the UNITÁN CROWN ATS extract can be used in the usual dosages, alone or combined with other vegetable or synthetic products.

UNITÁN / CROWN - ATD
Semi-Soluble Spray-Dried Extract
The UNITÁN CROWN ATD quebracho extract is a powdered, atomized and non-dusty product with a very low color. This quebracho extract, obtained from specially selected woods, has been chemically treated to reduce and transform the insolubles present in the natural quebracho extract.

Uses
Leathers treated with this product show a pale pinkish-brown color, excellent filling, good weight yield and firm grain, suitable for embossing or buffing. This is the result of a small amount of partially modified organic insolubles, which makes this extract especially recommended for retanning vegetable- or chrome-tanned leather.
For pure or highly «vegetalized» vegetable tanning processes, the use of UNITÁN CROWN ATD from 20 to 40% of the total vegetable extracts used is recommended.
For retanning processes UNITÁN CROWN ATD can be used in the standard dosages, alone or combined with other vegetable or synthetic products.

LIGHTAN
Spray-Dried Soluble Extract
LIGHTAN is an atomized vegetable retanning extract obtained by chemical and physical modification of the natural quebracho extract.

- Facilitates the dyeing, embossing and buffing procedures.

Uses
Leathers treated with this product show a light brownish-pink color on their surface with a soft grain with fine texture suitable for buffing and/or embossing.
Its characteristics make this product perfect for the retanning of chrome-tanned leathers when a soft and firm grain is required, making later dyeing and finishing easier.
For pure or mixed processes, basically vegetable, the use of LIGHTAN between 30 and 60% of the total vegetable extract used is recommended. For retanning processes, LIGHTAN can be used in the usual dosages, alone or combined with other vegetable extracts or synthetic products.

TEQUEBRAC P and L
Spray-Dried Soluble Extracts
The TEQUEBRAC P and L tanning extracts are modified quebracho derivatives to be used in fast tanning processes (with «short» baths or without bath) as well as in traditional processes.
The TEQUEBRAC P extract is specially formulated to be used in the first stage of the tanning processes while TEQUEBRAC L is for the retanning of vegetable or chrome-tanned leathers.

UNIQUE JR
Spray-Dried Extract

- Vegetable pre-tanning agent.

- Allows shaving before tanning.
Uses
UNIQUE JR is especially recommended as a pre-tanning agent in the production of sole and «vachetta» where bath exhaustion, weight yield and thickness increase are required.
Its use is recommended in 4 to 6% after the deliming / conditioning and pickling processes. In strongly vegetable retanning processes, the use of 3 to 5% of UNIQUE JR on unneutralized leathers is recommended, approximately 30 minutes before the retanning processes.
UNIQUE JR can be used alone or combined with other vegetable or synthetic products.

Uses
UNIQUE CHD can be used in vegetable tanning, alone or combined with other vegetable and/or synthetic extracts.
When retanning wet blue, it gives uniform dyeing and pastel shades. It also increases the polishing effect if accompanied with the corresponding oils.

SUPERIOR ATO
Semi-Soluble Spray-Dried Extract
SUPERIOR ATO is a spray-dried quebracho extract. It is a totally natural product also known as hot water soluble extract.
In its condition as a natural extract, it possesses larger tannin molecules and better filling properties than any other vegetable extract.
This extract contains a percentage of cold water insolubles (phlobaphenes) that make the product suitable for those tanners who have facilities for its dissolution and solubilization.

Uses
The SUPERIOR ATO extract is a 100% natural product that contains cold water insoluble components and we recommend fully or partially solubilizing them before use.
Its use is recommended in heated pits/drums for the tanning of «heavy» type leathers.

SUPERIOR BLOCK
The soluble solid quebracho extract SUPERIOR BLOCK, also known as hot soluble extract, is a totally natural extract. It has larger tannic molecules and better filling properties than any other vegetable extract. It contains a percentage of insolubles (phlobaphenes) that make it usable for those tanners who have equipment for dissolution and solubilization.

UNITÁN TM
Ultrafine Ground Tara
The Ultrafine Ground Tara powder UNITÁN TM is a natural source of tannins obtained by grinding tara pods (Caesalpinia spinosa). The tannins contained in UNITÁN TM are pyrogallic and can be hydrolyzed with acids and enzymes.
It is used for all types of vegetable-tanned or combination-tanned leather for upholstery and garments. It is also used in the manufacture of dyes with ferric salts and as a mordant for dyes and fabric printing.
Tara produces a light, flexible leather with good aptitude for dyeing. Appropriate for vegetable-tanned leathers that require good lightfastness. In conjunction with suitable oils, leathers with good fogging values are obtained.
Observations
UNITÁN TM is a product sensitive to iron salts, like all vegetable extracts. Therefore, in all tanning and retanning operations, contact with ferrous material must be avoided. To improve the product's performance, it is recommended to add small quantities of UNICLAR to the baths to avoid stains, as well as in the final washing bath, removing the leathers and piling them with the washing water.
