Quebracho Extracts for Tannic Primers

The mechanism of action involves the reaction of tannins with soluble iron salts, forming highly adherent precipitates of intense blue color.
Hexahydrated ferric iron and the phenolic groups present in condensed tannins form complex chelates.

It can also be used on carbon steels, galvanized, and aluminum, replacing products that contain chromium, lead, or zinc salts.
Prevox consists of aqueous solutions with a tannin concentration of approximately 20% by weight, pH regulation, and incorporation of additives to improve the wettability of the substrate.
